I am Beautiful Thinging

In case you're wondering, I've decided to each day write down Three Beautiful Things. Lately, the days seem to be blurring together and I thought it would be a good way to a) notice the good bits and b) note the little things that the tiny tots may do. I've been writing stuff down for a week now. (I've heard that if you want to make something a habit you need to do it for two weeks.) However, some days, though hopefully most, I'll post my list, some days not. We'll see how it is. The day I post them may not be the day they happened, but I am still trying to write down three things each day.

1. The way whenever K sees a gas station overhang she calls it a "lafferty". No idea where she got that word or if she just made it up. Or why she even notices them. Usually she points out their colors when we drive past them. Today as we pull up to the pumps she says, "Oh! Nice big blue lafferty!"
2. The sudden arrival of warm weather means that there are windows open all the time. Hearing the song of my favorite bird throughout the day.
3. Being outside under the blossoming plum tree with K and T. Looking up into the pink branches and seeing a brilliant yellow goldfinch hopping about.
