Storm's Passing, World Outside & Strengthening

1. After two solid days of hard blowing wind, waking up and finding it's a cloudy day with only the smallest breeze--and even a few raindrops.

2. Stealing a moment before the end of nap time to take a look at the first iris blooming in the flower garden. Stepping outside, there's a smell of rain in the air. On the way back in I stop to look over the front door's hanging plant and am nearly dive-bombed by a hummingbird who apparently had the same idea. He hovers a moment as waiting for me to move out of the way, then whirs away rather indignantly.

3. Holding and carrying around a chunky monkey all day does develop the arm and back muscles.
