ABC Wednesday

X is for...

xylophone

In our house, a xylophone is a well used object. I tried to capture the scratch marks and dents on this little wooden xylophone, but they're kind of hard to see.

However, Katya loves to open a hymnal or songbook next to her and bang away, singing at the top of her lungs. When I took these pictures she was singing "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to Mama! Happy birthday to dishes", etc.

This last picture is my attempt at an arty xylophone photo.

Visit Mrs. Nesbitt here for more ABC Wednesdays.

Enjoyment is written all over her face!
I had one of these when I was a child.

It's Wednesday....
You've made a play.
"X" marks the spot,
And I like yours a lot,
It's really fine....
Glad you visited mine,

Troy (author of bad verse)
Martha (better half)

PS: xylophones are fun

Well, I think that would be great fun to bang away on -- I bet I could eventually figure out a tune...
Hope you are having a great X day.
