T's sixth birthday was dog-themed. I found a cute idea on Pinterest to bake a chocolate cake in a glass bowl, then invert it into a dog dish. The "dog food" is cocoa puffs. I made the dog house out of a cardboard box. All the decorations, including the dog dish came from the dollar store.
He seemed pretty happy with it. Though I'm sure he would have been happiest if there had been a real dog there along with the decorations. Hard to believe my little boy is fast becoming not so little any more. May these days of boyhood be filled with happy memories.
