More Beach Photos

Most of the pictures I took on our trip to the beach did not turn out very well, but here is a sampling anyway.

Group shot.  Couldn't get everyone to look up at the camera and smile at the same time.

You must play games when at the beach.  Here are K and T trying to figure out Tangrams with Grandpa.

We visited the Newport Aquarium.  There was a lot to see.  Here the kids were watching the sea lions.  One came over to the window to say hi to K and T.

He stayed by the window for a long time and turned upside down and slowly waved his flippers.  Someone told us that they must turn upside down to look at the seafloor when hunting fish because of the way their eyes are situated on their heads.  He certainly seemed to be studying us.

Sorry this one is so blurry.  My camera was confused and wouldn't properly focus.  This was an underwater tunnel that went through three different pools.  It was fascinating.  You felt like you ought to be holding your breath while walking through.

Here a sea otter performed tricks for the kids.

There were some really nice jellyfish tanks to observe.

The house we rented had a good sized property that the kids had a ball exploring.

I've been to Lincoln City lots, but had never seen this unusual statue of Abe Lincoln.  Apparently it's the only one or one of very few depicting him riding a horse.

We had a lovely time on our trip, and the kids have asked many times when we can go back.
